To obtain a pistol permit in Perry County, AL:
New Applicants:
- You must be a resident of Perry County.
- Complete an application at the Perry County Courthouse.
If you are an out of County/ State Student you can obtain a permit by doing one of the following:
- Obtain an Alabama Driver's License with a Perry County address.
- Register to vote or move your existing voter registration to Perry County.
- Provide two bills (power, water, gas, lease, etc.) that have your name along with a Perry County address.
**There is a $20 per year, non- refundable fee. Permits may be purchased for up to five (5) years in advance.
PISTOL PERMIT APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED WITH FULL, ACCURATE INFORMATION.
IT IS A CRIME TO MAKE A FALSE STATEMENT OR REPORT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.
(TITLE 13A-10-109, CODE OF ALABAMA, 1975).
A CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE CONDUCTED ON EACH APPLICANT.
