The Appraisal Department is part of the Revenue Commissioner’s Office in Perry County. The department plays an important role in valuing property under Act 160 of the Alabama Legislature that created the statewide reappraisal program and specified that all property is to be appraised at fair and reasonable market value using mass appraisal methods.
